The education and teaching activities of our faculty's academic units within the scope of the quality assurance system are evaluated with student feedback per term and issues related to increasing quality are reviewed within the scope of these evaluation results. Necessary evaluations are made by our unit- department-Department Heads and our councils and commissions during the teaching periods.
Our university students can convey their requests and wishes directly to the rector through ÖDEMER (Student Support Center) established under the Rectorate. Similarly, they can directly convey their requests with the "Write to the Dean" application, which is open to all students, especially our faculty students, established in our unit.
The online services related to the education and teaching processes of our faculty's academic units are controlled through the Distance Education Center. Our unit officials responsible for UZEM inform instantly from the social network group where all our academic staff are members in case of applications or problems in the process that will positively affect the quality of education and teaching, and provide the necessary support.
The national accreditation process has started in our faculty. In this context, regular checks are carried out in our ECTS system. In 2020, the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department and the Preschool Education Department, which continued the preparations for accreditation studies, applied for the accreditation process in January 2021. The accreditation process of English Teaching, Primary Mathematics Teaching and Classroom Teaching undergraduate programs was completed in 2022. The evaluation phase in the accreditation process in Science Education, Turkish Education, Music Education and Social Studies education will be completed by the end of 2023. With the works of the Unit quality commission and the accreditation commission in our faculty, the accreditation process of all our academic units is supported, stakeholder participation is expanded and the quality assurance system and quality culture of our academic staff are developed.
Our faculty's internal stakeholders are our students who are currently studying, and our external stakeholders are primarily our Provincial Directorate of National Education, other Provincial Directorates, Higher Education Institutions, NGOs, and our graduate students. ECTS
The educational and teaching objectives and program outcomes of the undergraduate programs conducted in our faculty's academic units are evaluated within the "Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ)" and also specific qualifications for the field are taken into consideration. Educational teaching programs are made according to the targets determined by TYYÇ, which has been developed within the "European Higher Education Area Qualifications Framework". For example; course credits are credited based on the student workload based on the knowledge, skills, and competencies predicted at the program level and determined in the 'Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework', and educational teaching programs are implemented as 30 ECTS per semester. Detailed information about the academic units where the undergraduate programs are located can be reached at https://egitim.mehmetakif.edu.tr/akademik/603/. The relationship of the programs with TYYÇ can be reached at https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/bologna/#.
In the educational and teaching activities carried out in our faculty, the design based on student workload, YÖKAK and ECTS are taken into consideration. In our faculty, in the calculation of ECTS, 30 ECTS corresponds to a semester workload, 60 ECTS corresponds to a year workload, 1 ECTS = corresponds to 25-30 hours of workload. The educational objectives and program outcomes of the programs are planned to present what the student will learn based on the program outcomes in a measurable way during the learning process. In determining the student workload, the student's in-class and out-of-class studies and exams related to the course are taken into consideration in order to reach the targeted learning gains. ECTS determined over the workload are announced under the subheadings belonging to our faculty's academic units on the "ECTS Information Package" on our university's official website, at https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/bologna/#.
European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) studies are ongoing in all academic units of our faculty (https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/bologna/#). In addition, our faculty contributes to student learning mobility through national and international protocols it has made.
